Katrina and Iain MacLean from Bannockburn near Stirling were sent a new router from TalkTalk.
“A letter urged us to switch to their new broadband at no cost and reconnect,” said Katrina.
When this didn’t work, Katrina paid an expert to fix the problem. However, their Sky TV also developed faults. Sky told her the new broadband may have caused this and an engineer came to sort it. However, it wasn’t long before the couple’s landline packed in and they had to get a new set of phones. This too was caused by the new broadband set-up.
“I struggled to get redress from TalkTalk,” said Katrina. “The whole carry on caused us quite a bit of money.”
Raw Deal asked TalkTalk to investigate and it wasn’t long before Katrina was given an apology and offered £154.
Katrina said: “Thank you, Raw Deal, for intervening.”
