DELAYS and cancellations are affecting rail services in the east of Scotland after a person was hit by a train at Cupar Station.
Services between Dundee and Edinburgh were halted, and trains running between Aberdeen and Edinburgh diverted via Perth.
The line has now reopened, but disruption is expeted until 1pm.

A spokesman for British Transport Police said: “We were called at 9.35am to Cupar Station following reports of a person being struck by a train.
“We are in attendance along with the Scottish Ambulance Service.”

ScotRail said: “Sadly, due to a person being struck by a train between Cupar and Aberdeen, services between Dundee and Edinburgh will be cancelled and services between Aberdeen and Edinburgh will be diverted via Perth.”
