A husky centre is on the look-out for volunteers.
The Huskyhaven visitors’ centre in Stonehaven needs new recruits to help tend to 30 Siberian sledging dogs.
The company has said the role could lead to a full-time job looking after the pack.
Wattie McDonald, who opened the centre in 2016, told the Evening Express: “We are looking for a couple of volunteers to come along for an hour or so on various weekdays between 11am and 2pm to join in with exercising and snacking the huskies.
“Timings are very flexible, so if you have a spare hour or so for two or three weekdays give us a shout and you could become a part of team Huskyhaven.
“The fun parts of volunteering are exercising the dogs and throwing balls around, and there are less glamorous parts such as cleaning up mess and chopping up their food.”
Wattie added the volunteers would need to be able to get themselves to and from the centre.
Jane Leiper, a volunteer at Huskyhaven, and said she would definitely recommend applying for the role.
She said: “It’s brilliant. If you love dogs, you will love it here,”
“I don’t have a dog at home, so the centre allows me to get my dog fix. If you love dogs, it’s a dream job.
