DUNDEE, previously dubbed the ‘coolest city in Scotland‘ by the Wall Street Journal, has again been picked out as a top tourist destination.
The city has a place alongside Borneo and Los Angeles in a Bloomberg list of places to visit this year.
The much-anticipated opening of the impressive V & A Museum is celebrated in the article, which states the venue will “showcase Scotland’s wide-ranging design legacy, including Hunter boots and Dennis the Menace cartoons.”
Other ongoing developments on Dundee’s waterfront get a mention, with the feature stating that the projects will cement “Dundee’s status as an up-and-coming cultural hub.”
Bloomberg advises tourist to visit in May (avoiding peak travel times in the summer) but to avoid November to February due to the rain and ‘painfully short’ days.
Dundee’s inclusion is sure to please Sunday Post columnist Lorraine Kelly, who wrote about the ‘remarkable improvements’ happening in Dundee.
She said: “The soon to be completed V&A Museum has made the rest of the world sit up and take notice of a city that has so much to offer.”
