Jack Ross has been sacked as manager of Dundee United in the wake of a 9-0 loss to Celtic over the weekend.
The record-breaking defeat at Tannadice on Sunday was the latest in a string of heavy losses, including a 7-0 thrashing by AZ Alkmaar in Europe Conference League qualifying.
United also suffered a 4-1 loss to Hearts and a 3-0 defeat by St Mirren in the Scottish Premiership.
Ross had been in post for just ten weeks and had taken charge of seven competitive games.

A club statement read: “Dundee United can confirm head coach Jack Ross has been relieved of his duties with immediate effect.
“Liam Fox will take charge of the the first team on an interim basis with the focus now fully on Wednesday’s Premier Sports Cup match with Livingston.
“No further comment will be issued by Dundee United at this stage.”
After the crushing defeat to Celtic on Sunday, Ross said: “In terms of me describing it: it was humiliating and embarrassing, personally and professionally.
“The players should feel the same way.
“We should never be beaten by that scoreline of football.
“We owe the supporters an apology because of the scoreline and the manner of the goals we conceded.
“Were we physical enough and competitive enough? No, we weren’t.
“We conceded goals that were akin to training-ground exercises against mannequins.”
