MUSIC fans hoping to see the Carnival Fifty Six festival return for a second year have been left disappointed after organisers said it will not be back for 2018.
The two-day event attracted 16,000 revellers to Dundee’s Camperdown Park last August.
In an official statement, the group behind the event said it will explore the “future direction” of Carnival Fifty Six and hope to return in 2019.
The statement reads: “We’d like to thank everyone who supported Carnival Fifty Six in 2017.
“After much consideration the decision has been taken to not return the festival to Camperdown Park for 2018.
“We are taking a year off to explore the potential future direction of the show and hope to return in full effect in 2019. Until then, thanks to you all.”
