Gin lovers could get an additional bonus in their Christmas gift this year – an authentic, first-edition copy of a novel worth thousands.

Edinburgh Gin are celebrating the capital’s love for the written word with a new series of storybook giftpacks, with five themed editions based around popular titles.

A random pack has been selected to also include a golden ticket to redeem an original, first edition book of the recipient’s choosing – from titles such as 1984, The Savoy’s Cocktail Book, and more.

Neil Mowat, UK Marketing Director of Ian Macleod Distillers, said: “Inspired by our hometown of Edinburgh’s influence on writers the world over, our ‘first edition’ Edinburgh Gin Storybooks would look at home on any bookshelf, nestled among the classics.

“Which is why, to celebrate their limited release, we secretly added one more extraordinary title to our range. Our golden ticket winner will get the special opportunity to choose an original, first edition book to savour over our range of award-winning gins.

“Even if you don’t discover the golden ticket, our Storybooks are filled with wonder, making them the perfect serve and present for a loved one.

“So, here’s to you – and to the reading, and tasting, of remarkable things.”

The Olive or Twist pack

The different editions of the packs include Journey To The Centre of The Serve, Olive or Twist, Paradise Found, The Winter’s Cocktail, and A Tale of Two Flavours.

Each features Edinburgh Gin’s award-winning range of London Drys, flavoured gin, and gin liqueurs, along with a variety of cocktail accoutrements and bound in a luxurious casing with art deco cues.

Edinburgh Gin’s Storybooks are available UK-wide now from John Lewis & Partners, Selfridges, many other specialist retailers and EdinburghGin.com – with an RRP of £35 – £65
