Edinburgh International Film Festivals is offering a unique way to see some of their programme this summer.
Teaming up with Unique Events, the film festival – now in its 73rd year – is offering movie lovers the chance to experience some of this year’s programme via Drive-in.
Adapting to the age of Covid-19, the festival’s first outdoor event will be showcased at Edinburgh Airport from 27-30 August, continuing over every other weekend until the end of the year.
Up to four screenings a day will be on offer and the Drive-in Movies August line-up includes 13 films: classics such as Airplane!, cult titles like The Princess Bride, family-favourites including Up and recent hits like Get Out and Mary Poppins Returns.
Audiences will have a chance to purchase products from local suppliers, while Edinburgh DJ Stewart Calverto, the event’s MC, will provide pre-screening entertainment including film-themed quizzes with spot prizes and car disco.
