A lot of uncertainty remains around travel plans, especially holidays abroad, but it hasn’t stopped people dreaming about where they want to visit next.
Pinterest is one place where these travel dreams are being shared and Pinterest boards reveal plenty about people’s future travel plans and inspirations.
New research by Premier Inn has shown that after London, British and international travellers are most excited about a city break to Scotland’s capital city.
On their Edinburgh travel inspiration boards, people have been pinning itineraries for 24 and 48 hours in the city, as well as ideas on where to go for cocktails like Panda & Sons – a quirky bar inspired by the 1920s speakeasy and accessed through a hidden door behind a bookshelf.
Pins also include more unusual ideas for an Edinburgh visit, with activities such as leaving a stick at the grave of the loyal Greyfriars Bobby at Greyfriars Kirkyard and hopping on a bus to experience the refreshing sea breeze at Portobello beach.
Cheap eat ideas are also pinned, with city favourites like the Edinburgh Larder Cafe on Blackfriars Street, and the soup cafe Union of Genius on Forrest Road.
