EDINBURGH’S trams will be free between midnight and 5am on New Year’s Day to help revellers get home safely.
One tram will operate every 15 minutes between the West End and Edinburgh Airport.
In previous years, thousands have taken advantage of the service to get home after seeing in the New Year at the capital’s famous street party or elsewhere in the city.
Lea Harrison, Edinburgh Trams Managing Director, said: “We’re running more services than ever before this festive season and delighted to be supporting Edinburgh’s Hogmanay once more.
“With a free tram services, we hope that not only does everyone have a great night but gets home safely.”
Trams will serve all stops along the route including Ingliston Park & Ride which will have overnight parking restrictions removed.
