Leading voices from the energy transition debate will feature in a virtual event ahead of the Cop26 environmental summit in Glasgow.
Organised by our sister title Energy Voice, the Energy Transition Idea Exchange on October 28 will feature four separate sessions, with panellists presenting their visions for the transition and exchanging ideas with the audience in facilitated Q&A and networking.
The UK Government’s Alister Jack, secretary of state for Scotland, will be the keynote speaker and other guests include experts from SSE, bp and Bakher Hughes.
The first session, The Energy Transition Forum, is the keynote session of the event and will set the scene for the day with the panellists delving into the big issues shaping the energy transition in the build up to Cop26.
Session two, Net Zero Generation & Distribution, will be a platform for speakers to focus on the huge changes under way in the generation and distribution of electricity as the energy system of the future takes shape.
The third session, Supply Chain in Transition, will look at the risks but also the vast potential offered by a new look supply chain and workforce as the green industrial revolution unfolds.
The fourth and final session, Innovation in the Transition, will look at how the world rethinks and restructures the energy system, both from in terms of production and consumption. It invites the innovators to step forward and present their vision for the future.
