SAM ALLARDYCE is set to be appointed as the new Everton manager as the Merseyside club look to turn around their season.
Allardyce will be at USM Finch Farm this afternoon to finalise terms, the club has announced.
The Toffees currently sit in 17th place in the Premier League, just two points above the relegation zone.
Survival specialist Allardyce kept Bolton in the top flight six times and also managed to steer Blackburn, West Ham and Crystal Palace to safety.
The former England boss is likely to sign a contract until 2019.
David Unsworth will remain in charge of the Blues for tonight’s Premier League match against West Ham United, managed by former Everton boss David Moyes.
Earlier today, Alan Pardew was appointed at West Brom, who are level on points with the Toffees.
