FLIGHTS at Glasgow Airport have resumed after being temporarily suspended due to snowy weather.
The airport was closed for around 45 minutes this morning as teams worked to clear the runways as heavy showers continue to fall over the area.
An airport spokesperson said: “The airport is now open and operational again. Our winter operations team will remain on standby throughout the day to monitor weather conditions.”

Passengers expecting to travel today have been urged to check with their airline for details on disruption as the closure looks set to have a knock-on effect on services throughout the day.

Seven flights to and from Aberdeen airport have also been cancelled today as winter weather continues to cause disruption across the country.
Arrivals from Esbjerg, London Heathrow, Kirkwall and Sumburgh have been scrapped.
Scotland saw one of the coldest nights of the year and faces more snow throughout the day.
The mercury plummeted to minus 12.3C (9.8F) at Loch Glascarnoch in the Highlands overnight while most parts of the UK dipped below freezing, leaving widespread ice a potential hazard.
Forecasters have warned of disruption to travel and potential power outages as the day progresses as a band of “severe” weather moves in from the east.
