FOOTBALL pundit Glenn Hoddle has been taken to hospital after falling ‘seriously ill’ at a TV studio.
The Tottenham and England legend is reported to have collapsed ahead of his scheduled appearance on the BT Sport Score live Premier League show this afternoon.
Hoddle, whose 61st birthday is today, had earlier appeared on the channel’s Saturday Morning Sav show with Robbie Savage, Paul Ince, Steve Sidwell and Harry Redknapp.
BT Sport presenter Jake Humphrey tweeted: “Our friend & colleague Glenn Hoddle was taken seriously ill at the BT Sport studio this morning.
“Everyone of us is right with you Glenn, sending love & strength.”
The broadcaster cancelled BT Sport Score as a result of Hoddle taking ill.
Gary Lineker said: “Hugely worrying news that Glenn Hoddle collapsed at the BT studios earlier. Thoughts are with him and his family. Come on Glenn.”
Former player and pundit Chris Sutton tweeted: “Thoughts and prayers for Glenn Hoddle and his family after he was taken ill today.”
