CELTIC have been told by Liverpool that they won’t be able to take young winger Harry Wilson on loan.

The Liverpool Echo reports that Jurgen Klopp has dashed Brendan Rodgers’ hopes of bringing the Welsh international to Glasgow for next season.

Another target, Henry Onyekuru, has been heavily linked with the Hoops for a while but says he’s eyeing a move to a top Belgian team or England, according to the Daily Record.

The 19-year-old is currently with Eupen, but is thought to have been in talks with Arsenal this week.

The Hoops have some cause to celebrate though – today marks the 50th anniversary of the Lisbon Lions’ triumph in the European Cup.

Reports in Mexico suggest Carlos Pena is set for a move to Rangers.

Various news outlets in the country, where the 27-year-old plays for Leon, suggest negotiations are underway.

Ibrox boss Pedro Caixinha managed Santos Laguna in the Mexican Liga MX and is understood to have made the midfielder a top target.

Pena has 19 caps for Mexico and was a member of their 2014 World Cup squad.

The Daily Express also links Caixinha to Hearts midfielder Jamie Walker.

The Ibrox boss would have to offer over £1m to land Walker and teammate Callum Paterson, another reported target.

Aberdeen boss Derek McInnes is the bookie’s favourite to take over at Sunderland.

McInnes is 6/4 on SkyBet to replace David Moyes as chairman Ellis Short and chief executive Martin Bain hunt for a new manager – with the assistance of former Scotland and Rangers boss Walter Smith.

Dundee United could be in for a transfer windfall this summer, reports the Evening Telegraph.

Former left-back Andy Robertson was relegated with Hull, but is interesting Liverpool and Sporting Lisbon.

With a sell-on clause inserted into the deal that took him down south, the Tangerines could make around £750,000 from any potential move.

Ross Barkley will not be signing a new contract with Everton, according to the Mirror.

The England international will either leave Goodison Park this summer or wait until next year, when he will be out of contract.

Everton reportedly value the midfielder at £50million, with Tottenham and Manchester United among those linked with the 23-year-old.

Newcastle are hoping to land Sporting Lisbon midfielder William Carvalho, according to the Daily Star via Portuguese newspaper O Jogo.

The Portugal international reportedly has a £39million release clause and has also been linked with Arsenal and Manchester City.

The Sun claims Marcus Rashford is in line for a pay rise at Manchester United.

It is reported that the 19-year-old striker will get a £10,000 a week increase on his four-year deal.

Crystal Palace hope to appoint Marco Silva as their next manager, reports the Independent.
