THE Foreign Office has updated travel advice for Brits travelling to Russia amid heightened political tensions between the two countries.
Their website has advice on every country in the world for people travelling there from the UK.
In an update today on the entry for Russia, it says: “Due to heightened political tensions between the UK and Russia, you should be aware of the possibility of anti-British sentiment or harassment at this time
“You’re advised to remain vigilant, avoid any protests or demonstrations and avoid commenting publically on political developments.”

It adds: “While the British Embassy in Moscow is not aware of any increased difficulties for British people travelling in Russia at this time, you should follow the security and political situation closely and keep up to date with this travel advice.”
Earlier today, Theresa May announced that 23 diplomats were to be expelled in the wake of the nerve agent attack in Salisbury.
The Prime Minister labelled it an “unlawful use of state force by the Russian state against the United Kingdom.”
