CHOCOLATE fans are in for a treat after Cadbury announced they’ll be reducing the price of one of their most popular bars.
From March 8th, Freddo bars will now roll back to 25p.
The 16% reduction will also be applied to 23.5g Chomp bars, 25.5g Fudge fingers and 14.4g Buttons bags, which will all also be 25p each.
The move follows the news that the chocolate frog had risen in price by 200 per cent since the year 2000 – faster than wages and the rate of inflation.
The price of Freddos was even remarked upon by Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn, who told Copa90 presenter David Vujanic: “I think we need to examine this question in some detail and see if there is excessive profit-making by those who make Freddos – then they’ve got us to answer to.”
