AS Summer arrives (very slowly) it’s time to get a taste of sunshine.
These refreshing iced tea recipes from T2 Tea, who have just opened a new branch in Glasgow, are the perfect way to cool down in the heat.
Peach Iced Tea Punch
Whatever the weather, get crushing with this sweet and creamy peach dream.
30 minutes, Makes 2 litres
You’ll need
- 8 teaspoons Packs a Peach
- 4 teaspoons Citrus Punch
- Ice
- Peach and ginger slices, to garnish
- T2 2L Jug-a-lot
How to
- Add the tea to the infuser of your 2L T2 Jug-a-lot and half fill with boiling water. Infuse for 30 minutes, then remove infuser and leave to cool for 1 hour.
- Fill jug with ice and decorate with peach and ginger slices. Stir well and serve.
Rose & Watermelon Iced Tea
Delicate rose combines with summery sweet watermelon makes for a very grown up iced tea, delicious served on balmy evenings!
30 minutes / Makes 2 litres
You’ll need
- 12 teaspoons White Rose
- 180 ml/6 fl oz rice malt syrup
- Ice
- 250 ml/8.4 fl oz pureed watermelon, plus several slices, to garnish
- T2 2L Jug-a-lot
How to
- Add the tea to the infuser of your 2L T2 Jug-a-lot and half fill with 80°C/176°F water. Infuse for 5 minutes then remove infuser, stir in rice malt syrup and leave to cool for 1 hour.
- Add watermelon puree to cooled tea, fill with ice and decorate with watermelon slices. Stir well and serve.
Fruitalicious Fizz
Ultra fizzy and oh so fruity, fresh rosemary adds an ethereal touch for sparkling iced tea.
30 minutes / Makes 2 litres
You’ll need
- 12 teaspoons Fruitalicious
- Ice
- 500 ml/17 fl oz soda water
- Fresh rosemary
- 1 lemon, sliced
- T2 2L Jug-a-lot
How to
- Add tea to the infuser of your 2L T2 Jug-a-lot and half fill with boiling water. Infuse for 30 minutes, then remove infuser and leave to cool for 1 hour.
- Add ice, top with soda water and decorate with rosemary sprigs and sliced lemon.
