The work of women in music both on and off the stage will be celebrated in a live gig this March.
Tenement TV’s IWD TKVR event takes place on Friday March 6, ahead of International Women’s Day on March 8.
Set in Glasgow’s The Amsterdam basement, the show will see some of the most exciting female-fronted artists around take to the stage, including Edinburgh-based bands Medicine Cabinet and Swim School.
Scots stars Honeyblood and LUCIA will also be on hand for DJ sets as part of an International Women’s Weekender.
As well as the acts on stage, TTV have curated a team of women for the celebration, booking female photographers and content creators, as well as a female sound engineer, DJs, graphic designer and more.
Event organiser Nadine Walker said: “It was really important to me that the full team behind the event is led by women in music and I am really proud of the crew of photographers, graphic designers, sound engineers and beyond who are getting together to shout about women in music in Scotland.
“The talent within the industry has never been stronger and the 6th March is a chance for us to inspire other women and shout about the talent louder than even before.
“Women in music is something TTV are extremely passionate about. We have brought together two of the most exciting female-fronted bands in Scotland right now to perform live, plus two veteran female artists Honeyblood and LUCIA will take to the decks for the party.”
