GLASGOW-BASED wrestling promotion Insane Championship Wrestling (ICW) will return to the city’s SSE Hydro this December.

After the success of previous events, the company is holding Fear and Loathing XI at the arena for the third year in a row.

The announcement was made in front of a packed crowd before the company’s Barramania event at the Barrowland Ballroom earlier today.

Speaking after the announcement, ICW owner Mark Dallas said: “When I first started running shows in Maryhill Community Halls I never dreamed that ICW would be performing at one of the busiest arenas in the world, let alone for a third time.

“Glasgow is home for ICW and being able to host the biggest independent professional wrestling show in Europe at a venue round the corner from our humble beginnings is something special.

“It’s going to be a great night for the fans and a celebration of everything that ICW stands for.”

Last year’s show in the same venue saw the ICW debut of WWE greats Rob Van Dam and Rey Mysterio as well as wrestling legend Kevin Nash, who oversaw proceedings as the event’s special guest commissioner for the night.

Scheduled to compete on this year’s Fear and Loathing include star of BBC’s Insane Fight Club Jack Jester, 2018 Commonwealth Games athlete Joe Hendry and WWE Superstar Wolfgang.

Tickets for ICW: Fear and Loathing are on sale at 10am on Friday, 4 May from www.ticketmaster.co.uk, www.triplegmusic.com and Tickets Scotland with seated tickets open to 16+ and standing open to 18+.
