Vasha Wallace, FreemantleMedia’s executive vice president of global acquisitions said: “The time is ripe to bring back this all-time favourite gameshow which has travelled with such success over the years.”
The family favourite saw contestants compete against one another in pop culture quizzes and puzzles in order to win cash prizes, before the final race through the supermarket aisles.
Other classic shows to be given a modern makeover include The Generation Game (which will return former Bake Off hosts Mel and Sue at the helm) and The Crystal Maze, which is now presented by IT Crowd star and filmmaker Richard Ayoade.
