IF you’re a musician dreaming of international stardom, then your chance may be here…
Glasgow’s Hard Rock Cafe has launched a search for aspiring local talents as part of the restaurant chain’s latest Battle of the Bands competition.
Bands, solo artists, musicians, DJs and MCs are being encouraged to sign up to show off their skills as part of the worldwide contest.
Scots acts will be hoping to follow in the footsteps of new wave outfit 100 Fables, who reached the global finals in 2016 having performed first in their home city of Glasgow.
And the previous year, Fife group Break The Butterfly celebrated similar success.
Anyone can enter before the best acts are selected to perform live at their nearest Hard Rock Cafe in front of fans and local judges.
Following the live performances, two regional winners will be selected, receiving a prize of $1,000 and moving on to the next round of the competition, where the public will have the chance to vote for their favourite global artist.
The three bands with the largest number of votes will receive an all-expenses paid trip to New York City, where they’ll take to the stage at the Hard Rock Cafe in the iconic former Paramount Theatre in the heart of Times Square.
They’ll also receive a $15,000 cash prize and the chance to perform for top record label executives.
