Sign Up THE Met Office is warning of heavy rain and hill snow across southern Scotland. The forecasters have issued a yellow weather warning, in place from 12pm to 11:59 this evening. The area covers the Scottish Borders, parts of Dumfries and Galloway, South Lanarkshire, East Lothian, Midlothian and East Ayrshire. The areas covered by yellow weather warnings (The Met Office) The M8 between Livingston and Harthill is also affected. Drivers are urged to be aware of spray and flooding on some roads along with snow, mostly on higher routes. Another yellow warning is already in place for snow in northern areas.
