According to reports, an offer of around £1.5m has been rebuffed by the Edinburgh club. The 23-year-old, who is entering the final year of his contract at Easter Road, has previously been linked with a move down south. A number of Premier League clubs are understood to have been keeping tabs on the Scotland star. Celtic, though, are looking to strengthen their midfield options following the departure of Stuart Armstrong to Southampton in a £7m move. And Scott Allan, who thrived on loan at Hibs last season, could be used as part of a potential deal to secure the signing of McGinn.
