LITHUANIAN midfielder Vykintas Slivka says facing Gordon Strachan’s national team gave him a taste for Scottish football as he completed his move to Hibernian.
Neil Lennon revealed on Tuesday night that Slivka had agreed a three-year deal and Hibs have now received international clearance following his move from Juventus for an undisclosed fee.
The 22-year-old has won 19 caps and has had loan spells at Modena, Den Bosch and Ascoli during his five-year spell on the books of Juve.
Vykintas, who could face Scotland again in the World Cup qualifiers on September 1, said: “I am very happy to have signed for Hibernian. This is another step in my career and I am really excited to be joining the club.
“The international matches against Scotland and England have given me a taste of the British style of football, and now I can’t wait to get started.”
