HIBS winger Martin Boyle is out for the season following knee surgery.
The 25-year-old was injured while on international duty with Australia.
Three-times capped Boyle returned to Edinburgh for treatment having sustained the knock while at the Asia Cup with the Socceroos.
He went under the knife this morning and his recovery looks set to last until the summer.
A statement from Easter Road club said: “The knee injury sustained by Martin Boyle on international duty is, unfortunately, likely to keep him out for the rest of the season.
“Martin underwent surgery this morning and we look forward to seeing him back in action for pre-season.”
