WITH less than a month to go until Valentine’s Day, Poundland is now selling engagement rings, and there have been mixed reactions from the public.
The high street bargain store, known for its weird and wacky merchandise, has just unveiled its Bling Ring collection, consisting of four different sparkly styles.
Selling alongside the slogan, “Because we promise she’ll want to choose her own,” Poundland are insisting that the rings are placeholders to be worn until the real thing has been chosen.
“We’re looking forward to the Poundland proposal becoming the way it’s done.
“Our bling ring is setting the scene for the real deal,” the retailer added.
Some customers have been blasting the concept on social media, saying they value their life too much to risk using a Poundland ring to propose, while others say they ‘can’t help but want one’.
