IT’S the food news the world has been waiting for.
A very clever man has invented ice cream that won’t ever melt!
Rob Collington has travelled more than 20,000 miles across the USA, Mexico and Canada, trying all sorts of ice creams.
Keen to make his own that would rival any he has tasted, the 34-year-old knew that the one irritating thing about them all was how they started to melt when you were just halfway through but enjoying them in hot weather.
Now, he has come up with his very own Gastronaut Ice Cream — the name partly coming from his favourite ice cream, Astronaut, sold at space museums and camping stores across the United States.
He admits his stuff doesn’t taste the best, but as it never melts, it does have a major advantage over all the competition.
It is natural, organic and freeze-dried, and it’s that last part that has his secret, as it draws out vapour that would later make it melt when things hot up.
It comes in Mexican Chocolate Chip, Cookies & Cream, and Mint flavours.
Enjoy it as slowly as you like!
