LET’S get ready to jungle!
It’s that time of year when a group of celebrities pack their bags and head to Australia for three weeks of trials and tribulations down under.
Hosted by TV favourites Ant and Dec, the reality show will be back on UK screens from Sunday, November 19th.
It’s already been revealed that Stanley Johnson, father of Foreign Secretary Boris, is heading to the jungle.
But who will be joining him on I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here?
Meet the 2017 contestants
AMIR KHAN
The 30-year-old boxing champion has said he’s looking forward to the public seeing what he’s like outside the ring.
Amir is afraid of spiders, snakes and heights… so the bush tucker trials might be a bit of a challenge!
He said: “Whenever I see a spider at home, I get my sister to move it. I just don’t deal with it.”
DENNIS WISE
The 50-year-old retired footballer has said he’s not afraid of hard work and is happy to pitch in at the camp.
He is, however, a bit claustrophobic, so let’s see if he ends up with coffin bush tucker trial!
JENNIE MCALPINE
Best known as Fiz in Coronation Street, the soap star will be swapping the cobbles for the jungle.
Jennie says her only fear is leaving her young son, Albert.
She said: “Even the thought of it beforehand made me shudder. It’s going to be his birthday whilst I am in the jungle.”
JAMIE LOMAS
Hollyoaks heartthrob Jamie is best known for playing villain Warren Fox on the soap.
Jamie has admitted that he’s not a fan of creepy crawlies and is happy to step up and be the camp cook if needed.
He said: “Nobody likes bugs, do they? Spiders crawling all over your head… that wouldn’t be nice for anyone but that’s the whole point of the show isn’t it?”
REBEKAH VARDY
The spouse of Leicester City footballer Jamie, Rebekah is keen to shake off her ‘WAG’ image and let viewers see the real her.
She said: “I want to push myself to the limit. It’s going to be a battle but it is also going to be a great experience.”
GEORGIA ‘TOFF’ TOFFOLO
Made in Chelsea star Georgia has said she looking forward to challenging her ‘prim and proper’ image by getting her hands dirty in the jungle.
One of her biggest concerns is not being able to keep in touch with her granny, who she calls ‘at least 20 times a day’.
VANESSA WHITE
The show will be quite a change of scene for Vanessa, who is one fifth of glam girl group The Saturdays.
Despite being in the public eye as a pop star, Vanessa says this will be the first time the public will really get to know her…
She said: “This is the first time people will get to see what I am really like. Which is a scary thought…”
JACK MAYNARD
Jack will be the first Vlogger to enter the jungle.
He said: “To be the first vlogger is a game changer.
“You are respected by the younger generation and by doing this programme, it’s going to be nice to show older viewers [what vloggers are all about].”
SHAPPI KHORSANDI
Comedian Shappi has been preparing for jungle life by going vegan for the past few months.
The stand-up star has said one of her biggest worries is how she’s going to get by without a cuppa.
She said: “I don’t know how I am going to cope without tea.
“I drink it all day. Tea is my life.”
STANLEY JOHNSON
The author, ex-politician and father of Foreign Sec Boris may be in for a bit of a shock… As he’s admitted to never having seen I’m a Celebrity before!
He said: “I love Australia and I’ve done lots of different things in my life but I would say that I have not lived in a Jungle before.”
I’m A Celebrity 2017 will starts this Sunday, November 19, 2017 on ITV at 9pm.
