Avengers co-stars and close pals Tom Holland and Chris Pratt are back together in Onward.
It’s Pixar’s first crack at the fantasy genre, and tells the story of elf brothers Ian and Barley.
On Ian’s birthday, they’re given a wizard’s staff which allows them to bring their father – whom Ian has never met and Barley was too young to remember – back to life for 24 hours.
London-born Spider-Man star Holland says: “It’s relatable, everyone’s dealt with loss at some point in their life.
“Technology is taking over our lives in such a big way now and in this film the beauty of magic is being taken over by technology.
“It’s about looking onward and looking forward to the journey you can make, and I think people really connect with that.”
Asked about his “bromance” with Pratt, the 23-year-old says: “We first met when I was a young whippersnapper and didn’t really know many famous people and Chris was just really nice.
“We recorded our parts together a few times but when Chris was in the room, I just couldn’t stop laughing.
“So all of his stuff was totally usable but all of my stuff was just me giggling.
“I bet all the times Ian is laughing in this film is just from our sessions together.
“Obviously a lot of it we did separately because our schedules are crazy and we’re in different parts of the world but whenever we did come together it was always electric and really good fun.
“It got to the point when the people in the booth would say, ‘OK, Tom, just say the words now.’”
Onward (U) is in cinemas from Friday March 6.
