THINGS are getting even spookier than normal in the dark streets of Edinburgh as a world premiere production of Oscar Wilde’s chilling tale The Canterville Ghost opens at the Fringe.
The dark comedy from award-winning theatre company Tall Stories features four Vaudevillian performers telling Wilde’s most gruesome story through magic, ventriloquism and comedy with original music.
The show is playing at The Pleasance Courtyard from now until the end of the festival.
Another Wilde adaptation, Wilde Creatures, is also showing, with both shows directed and written by Olivia Jacobs and Toby Mitchell.
They also share the cast of Matt Jopling, Tom Jude, Steve McCourt and Lauren Silver.
