This year’s Sunday Post People’s Choice Award at Gardening Scotland has been won by the National Vegetable Society, for their colourful, edible display.
Every year on the first day of the national festival of flowers, visitors vote for their favourite stand, and the NVA’s baskets of chillis, towers of tomatoes and piles of peppers was a clear winner.
Collecting the award, Ian Stocks, Chairman of the Scottish branch of the NVA, said: “We’ve been coming to Gardening Scotland for 20 years and we’ve one many gold medals, but this is the icing on the cake.”
Gardening Scotland is continues at the Royal Highland Centre Edinburgh until 5pm on Sunday.
