Aidan Turner admits costumes for Poldark were a bit of a squeeze

POLDARK star Aidan Turner has revealed he toiled to stay in shape in order to squeeze into his tight-fitting costumes on the hit period drama.
The 34-year-old Dubliner has captured the nation’s heart as dashing Captain Ross Poldark – but getting into his late 18th Century waistcoats and trousers was a challenge, he said.
He returns next month in the fourth series of the BBC1 smash.
“There was lots of weight training and watching what I ate in the run up to filming – there was no other way,” Aidan said.
“If I’d come back and been bursting out of my trousers and waistcoats, I’d have known I’d eaten too many pies.”
