IT’S that temper-baiting combination of travelling for hours on end, being herded about like cattle and having to wait in seemingly endless queues.
We’ve all been there – in airport hell!
You can’t find your passport, you’ve forgotten your book and the escalators are broken. It’s a wonder we all don’t lose our tempers more.
I’ve racked up the air-miles over the years going back and forth across the Atlantic but sometimes it’s hard to keep the heid, as they say back home.
A paparazzo taking pictures of me and my missus would be the last thing I’d want to see when I’m knackered.
Footage emerged last week of Louis Tomlinson of One Direction, in what can best be described as a heated incident at Los Angeles International Airport.
Louis has hired a lawyer who’s experienced working with celebrities before – Martin Singer. He’s the man they call “Mad Dog”.
I suspect he’ll deal with Louis’s battery charge so quickly his nickname will change to Duracell!
Dealing with airports is difficult enough, but I nearly didn’t make it to there last week for my big trip home.
I was in the ski resort of Aspen for a wee break with the missus.
It was colder than those January mornings when you forgot your kit and the PE teacher made you train in your pants –but what a lovely town it is, I can’t recommend it highly enough if you’re ever visiting the USA.
Last year on our visit to Aspen we ended up heading for a bite to eat with Michael Douglas and Catherine Zeta Jones.
Let’s just say Brianna told me I wasn’t allowed to turn up in my simmet and baffies.
This year was great but we ended up completely snowed in.
Aspen is such a brilliant place, though, Brianna and I were secretly delighted to be stuck in the lodge drinking hot chocolate.
And the thaw arrived just in time for me to make my way back to Scotland for a date with a Loose Woman.
No, it’s not a throwback to my single days in Glasgow and nights at The Warehouse and Henry Afrikas!
I’m in Glasgow for the Beatson Ladies lunch today with Kaye Adams.
It’s all for a great cause, and I’m looking forward to sharing some tasty celeb tidbits with the ladies.
I’ll let you know how my trip goes next week!
