CELEBRITY chef Jamie Oliver’s chain of Italian restaurants are at risk of further closures.
The firm yesterday revealed it is exploring restructuring plans.
The chain has struggled to cope with tough UK trading conditions in the casual dining sector over the past year, it said.
At the start of 2017, the celebrity chef’s restaurant business announced it would close six restaurants, and, in November, its parent company was forced to bail out the Italian chain with a short-term loan.
In a statement the firm said: “The Jamie Oliver Restaurant Group can confirm it is exploring plans to restructure its Jamie’s Italian restaurant estate in the UK.”
There are currently two restaurants in Scotland – Edinburgh and Glasgow.
