THREE players have made their return to the Rangers squad for tomorrow’s trip to Motherwell.
Jordan Rossiter, Ross McCrorie and Graham Dorrans have all been named in Ibrox boss Graeme Murty’s provisional squad for the lunchtime kick-off at Fir Park.
In his press conference today, Murty said: “Jordan Rossiter is in the squad for tomorrow along with Ross McCrorie & Graham Dorrans who are all progressing well.”
Rangers fans have seen very little of Rossiter, who was signed from Liverpool by Mark Warburton in May 2016.
In an injury-ravaged spell at the club he has made just ten appearances, the last of which was as a substitute in an away win at Ross County in August.
Dorrans has been out of action since limping off during a 1-1 draw with Kilmarnock in October.
Promising youngster McCrorie, who produced a string of impressive performances in both midfield and defence, has been sidelined since January.
The match will come too soon for skipper Lee Wallace, who has suffered a slight set-back in his bid to shake off a groin problem, meaning he remains out alongside David Bates (ankle) and Ryan Jack (knee).
Murty, meanwhile, says club chiefs are already putting plans in place for next season – regardless of whether he will still be in charge.
The former under-20s boss, who has been given the reins until the end of the season, said: “The plans have already started for whether I am here or not. The plans are bigger than one person.
“It’s not about whether I am here or not. The plans have started for pre-season, for recruitment, for all the things that a top-class football team should be looking towards. Those processes are already in place.
“So I don’t have to worry about my job, my position. It’s not about me. It’s about making sure we move forward and I believe we are moving forward.”
