TV star Laura Hamilton has achieved a lot in life — but shedding five stone is probably right up there among her most-accomplished feats!
The 34-year-old A Place In The Sun presenter has also starred in Fort Boyard, Dancing On Ice, The Jump and been a panto star alongside Bradley Walsh.
But, when she put on a large amount of weight when having kids Rocco and Tahlia, she faced one of her life’s toughest challenges, and met it head-on.
Now, Laura has brought out a downloadable app, Laura Hamilton’s Full Body Workout, which can show anyone needing to lose weight how to do as she did.
“It has been a bit of a transformation!” she laughs.
“And it was hard work, but when you are running around and have two children, that helps.
“I didn’t just do it overnight, obviously, and it has taken me some time.
“I cut out a lot of sugar, which was a big change for me.
“I also cut back on consumption of carbs, pasta, bread, all of which is quite difficult when you do a lot of travelling to do your job.
“And I obviously did a lot of exercising, too.”
Laura recalls that an “unflattering” photograph of herself after she’d put weight on while pregnant took her by surprise.
“I was on holiday with my husband while pregnant,” she recalls.
“And as I was getting out of the sea, it was cold and I was putting on this ridiculously-stupid face, covering my boobs, and I got photographed.
“I had no idea I was being snapped and it wasn’t exactly a flattering shot!
“But I guess if I hadn’t wanted it to happen, I wouldn’t have posted on social media about where I was.
“But I didn’t expect that.”
As you can see, she looks stunning in her photos these days.
A mixture of working out and using her new app have worked wonders.
“I would say that I have exercised every day, five days a week at least,” Laura explains.
“But you only have to spend 20 minutes doing the workout that comes on this new app.
“You don’t have to spend hours and hours on it.
“You might have to change your diet, and I do believe that if you want to make a change, then of course you have to put in the effort and work.
“And after you lose the weight, you have to do toning-up work, too.”
If the end result is looking as fantastic as Laura, it’ll be worth every ounce of sweat!
The app, Laura Hamilton’s Full Body Workout, is priced £2.99 and can be found online in the App Store and Google Play.
