FANS of Line of Duty are still reeling from the incredible finale of season four, and there’s good news for those who want to see how the rest of the story unfolds.
The BBC have announced that the hit series, starring Martin Compston, Adrian Dunbar and Vicky McClure, will be renewed for at least two more series.
BBC boss Tony Hall said: “I am very excited to say there’s not one but two more series of Line of Duty. So hooray for AC-12!”

There’ll be a while to wait, however, with the show’s creator Jed Mercurio suggesting in a recent interview that the fifth series won’t air until 2019.
He said: “I hope it won’t be too long, we are filming the next series next year but it will be in the second half of next year so there is enough time to get the script right and get the cast together.
“The earliest I can imagine it will be on air is early 2019.”
