ARE you looking for a new job? Do you love dogs?
The Edinburgh Chihuahua Cafe have found official premises in the centre of Edinburgh… Meaning they’re in need of staff!
Scotland’s first dog cafe will be a welcoming space where customer can kick back with a cuppa, cake and eight friendly chihuahuas.
The online job advert states that the cafe are looking for ‘dog crazy, friendly, fun and hard working’ team members.
The job posting also reminds would-be applicants that the role will require a huge variety of skills and an excellent work ethic:
“Apart from puppy cuddles and chatting with happy customers you will also be a barista, cashier, cleaner, dog walker, dog poop scooper, dog trainer and behaviourist, marketing assistant, admin assistant, stock controller and general whizz at sorting out all problems as they arise.
“We are a small team and each individual therefore needs to know the business inside out and be ready for anything. There’s no passing the buck in this family and you need to be all in.”
Founder Tanya Salitura told the Sunday Post that they are aiming to close recruitment by 25th October, but there might be a little lee-way in order to find the right people.
Candidates are advised to apply sooner rather than later.
Tanya said she hopes to open the new Frederick St venue by early December, but this is still to be confirmed.
Once the exact opening date has been determined, customers can book on the cafe’s website.
