Manchester United have lodged a bid of ‘over €40m’ for Lyon striker Moussa Dembele, it has been reported.
According to Goal France, an opening offer has been made for the former Celtic striker, who scored 23 goals for the French side this season.
The news of a potential transfer is certainly of interest to the Hoops, who are reported to have inserted a sell-on clause when selling the 22-year-old to Lyon for just under £20m.
It is thought they could land up to £2m if a move to the Premier League goes through for their former hitman, who attended last weekend’s eight-in-a-row title celebrations.
The French under-21 international is contracted to Lyon until 2023.
Arsenal have also been credited with an interest in his services.
