EWAN McGregor’s estranged wife has spoken out after he thanked both her and his new girlfriend during his Golden Globes acceptance speech.
The 46-year-old Scots actor, who left Eve Mavrakis after 22 years for his co-star Mary Elizabeth Winstead last year, made the comment last Sunday while collecting a gong for his role in Fargo.
However, the acceptance speech did not go down well with Eve, mother of their four daughters.
She has since spoken out about her feelings on his choice words from their formal marital home in Los Angeles.
She told reporters on Friday: “No, I did not like his speech.”
When asked why, she replied: “For the same reasons you are here asking me about it. I am not going to say any more.”
Her comments come after the Trainspotting star was pictured kissing his new love straight after accepting another award for Fargo at the Critics’ Choice Awards last Thursday night.
In November, the actor moved out of his family home to start a new life with his Fargo co-star.
