BEN is a very handsome boy who came into Scottish SPCA care after he was found as a stray.
Ben arrived with a wound to his neck which has healed well, however he has shown to have slight allergies which are kept under control with Piriton which he gets twice a day.
Scotland’s animal welfare charity have said the trick to giving Ben his Piriton is to let him sit on your knee, facing away, while you lull him into a happy place with a wee shoulder massage and and a chin scratch – at which point you can pop the tablet down his throat.
If you try to hide it in his food… he’ll know!
Ben likes food…no, Ben loves food!
This cheeky wee chap will do almost anything for it but he can spot a tablet a mile away if it’s spoiling his precious meal.
When he first arrived Ben wasn’t a people cat and preferred to be left alone.
The longer he has been at the centre, the more sociable he has become.
Ben will now sit on your knee and let you scratch his chin and will purr away while you pamper him. He has turned into a different cat from the naughty boy he used to be!
Ben also likes to play, and anything with a feather is his absolute favourite.
The Scottish SPCA has suggested giving Ben a safety collar with a bell, as he will require outdoor access via a cat flap once he has settled into a new home.
Although he now enjoys affection he can still have his moments and for this reason Ben should be rehomed to an adult only home.
If you can offer this handsome, regal-looking (ignore the picture he is camera shy!), charismatic cat a home, please contact the Edinburgh and Lothians centre on 03000 999 999.
