DIEGO came into Scottish SPCA care as he proved to be too much for his previous owner to cope with.
He was very nervous when he first arrived and was unsure what to make of the kennel environment but as he has settled in he has come out of his shell and proven to be a lovely dog.
Diego is still learning his manners, but will sit to give paw and will walk nicely on his lead once he has gotten the initial burst of energy that comes with ‘walky time!’ out of his system. He does require a firm hand at times as he will try and push his luck to get his own way.
When out on walks Diego doesn’t seem too interested in toys but he does love to potter around sniffing everything.
Diego is very food orientated and will do almost anything for a treat, which comes in handy for training. However, he has previously guarded his food bowl.
When out on walks he can be very unsure around other dogs and will pull and jump on his lead at them, so for this reason he would have to be the only dog in a household and would need new owners who would be willing to help him with this.
He is looking for an adult only home with a fully enclosed garden for training purposes.
