A RESCUE dog has found international fame as a Bollywood film star.
Mitch, a Border Collie and a vital member of the Trossachs Search and Rescue team, made his surprise debut when he caught the eye of a director filming near Loch Lomond.
Bollywood director Anubhav Sinha was filming scenes for his film Tum Bin 2 when he asked to loan some 4×4 vehicles from the Trossachs SAR team.
When they arrived, Mitch impressed the film crew so much with his ability to take direction that he was written into the script at the last minute.
The 13-year-old Collie is part of a search team looking for one of the film’s main characters, who has disappeared in the snow after a skiing accident.
His owner Stuart Ballantyne, leader of the Trossachs SAR team, said: “Mitch originally wasn’t meant to be in the film, but it worked out really well.
“The director asked me if he could do various things, and I showed him what commands he could follow. The next thing I knew he was written into the movie. He is so well trained, because of the work he does.”
