Here, she shares a selection of her favourite snaps.
Pick it out!
We spend a lot of time outdoors, whether it be picking strawberries or raspberries in summer, or like here, picking pumpkins last year.
We’ll be heading out this year too when my youngest grandchild will see more as she is now walking, talking and singing Twinkle Twinkle Little Star in her own language! Precious times making memories.
Big kid at heart
This was taken at Balmaha with two of my three grandchildren. I love Loch Lomond, and love my grandchildren just a tad more. They definitely keep me young. I supply some laughs along the way. I didn’t have grandparents for long so it’s even more important to me to be around forever (so I tell my children).
Animal magic
I was the luckiest woman to be taken on holiday with my daughter, son-in-law and three grandchildren to Thailand. We travelled to an elephant sanctuary outside Chang Mai where we all had the most wonderful experience learning about the amazing work they do in rescuing these magnificent animals. We were privileged to spend time feeding, trekking and bathing them, which for me was tremendous. To me, life is all about having mini adventures.
Munro bagging
I remember when I was little growing older meant slowing down. Not for me, I have a bucket list of things to do. One was bagging a Munro… and having climbed three, I can now officially call myself a bagger.
I have also zipwired across the river Clyde and cycled around Millport for charity. The children, grandchildren and dog Trevor took part in the Alzheimer Scotland memory walk. And on October 4, I’ll be sleeping out for Byte Night. Who says grans slow down?
