Mum-of-three and grandmother-of-six Mary Wilson, 70, recently retired, but she’s finding life busier and more rewarding than ever before thanks to a lovely family and a very special four-legged friend.
Here, Mary shares her favourite snaps of precious memories.
Treat day with the girls
This is my two daughters, Michelle and Susie, and myself in our fluffy robes ready to spend the day at the Stobo Castle spa earlier this year. I had an absolutely lovely day with them both and treated myself to a manicure. We lead such busy lives, so it’s great to catch up and get away from the stresses of everyday life whenever we can.
Happy 60th
The family all took a trip down to Herstmonceux in Sussex to visit my sister-and-law and her husband Nick for his 60th birthday party. It was a fabulous night and all the family had great fun. I love my relatives so much. Getting to spend time with them is so special to me.
Belle, our big bundle of joy
About a year ago we took the brave decision to adopt a puppy, since my husband David and myself had both retired and had a bit more spare time. Belle the Goldendoodle proved a lot more work than we were expecting – and grew a lot larger than we expected – but quickly became part of the family.
City of romance
This is David and myself during a recent trip to Paris. Dave and I recently celebrated our golden anniversary. Our three children, Paul, Shell and Susie, organised a surprise celebration for us. We are so blessed to have them. I met David when I was just a teenager and I couldn’t imagine life without him.
