The warning, in place from 12pm until midnight, covers the north-eastern coast, most of Fife, Edinburgh, Lothian and the Borders. It states that “most places will stay dry, but heavy showers and thunderstorms may cause some flooding and disruption to travel.” © Met Office The weather warning also affects parts of England Some spots could see as much as 30mm rain in an hour and 40 to 60mm rain in two or three hours in torrential downpours.
