MOTHERWELL have secured their second signing of the summer after announcing a deal to bring in Liam Donnelly from Hartlepool.
The Northern Ireland defender joins the Steelmen for an undisclosed fee and has signed an initial two-year deal at Fir Park, becoming the second arrival of the summer after Mark Gillespie joined earlier in the week.
Donnelly impressed during a season in the fourth tier of English football with Pools before relegation and a mid-table finish in the Vanarama National League last season.

He has been a regular for the Northern Ireland youth teams and has one senior cap to his name, appearing against Chile in 2014.
The chance to play under Stephen Robinson and link up once more with Trevor Carson, who he played alongside at Hartlepool, was a big pull for Donnelly, who is hoping to push his case for further international recognition.
“Trev has done unbelievably while he has been here and taken massive strides and is doing really well to be involved with the senior (Northern Ireland) team,” he told the Motherwell website. “I definitely have the same aspirations and hopefully I can do well enough here to get back into that squad.”
He added: “As soon as I knew of the interest from Motherwell, I was delighted.
“It’s a massive club and how well they did last season was unbelievable and something I want to kick on with the lads this season and hopefully improve on.
“I know the manager really well, I worked with him for Northern Ireland from when I was quite young, so there are a lot of factors in why I wanted to come here.”
