Rangers have announced the signing of Jake Hastie on a four-year deal.
The Motherwell youngster, who was today shortlisted for the PFA Young Player of the Year award, has signed a pre-contract agreement and will join the Ibrox side at the end of the season.
A statement on the Steelmen’s website confirmed his departure, and said that the two clubs “will now try and agree a suitable compensation package that is acceptable to both parties.”

Hastie has been with the Lanarkshire club since the age of nine, making the breakthrough from the club’s youth academy.
He has scored seven goals in 17 appearances in an impressive run of games for the Premiership side.
That form attracted the attention of Rangers boss Steven Gerrad, who told his club’s website: “We’re delighted to be able to add Jake to the squad next season.
“He is a talented young player who has performed well for Motherwell in the second half of this season.
“We are always looking to add individuals to our group of players who will improve us and Jake will undoubtedly do that.”
Director of Football Mark Allen added: “We are delighted to add such a talented and young Scottish player to our team for next season.
“We are committed to improving the strength of our squad and this is part of that process. There will be some departures and we hope for a few arrivals which will add greater quality.”
Rangers also have Jordan Jones arriving in the summer, with the Kilmarnock winger having signed a pre-contract deal.
