Now that the weekends are getting warmer and sunnier, you might be planning a few trips to the coast.
It would be silly to do so without eyeing up where you might grab a bite to eat while you’re there, so we asked Dundee foodie Lennox to share her favourite places.
She reviews and recommends food and drink spots on her social media pages and blog under Lennox Eats, so whether it’s a fine dining extravaganza or a light bite and a cocktail that you are after, Lennox will keep you right.
The Newport Restaurant
Featuring stunning views over the River Tay and specialising in explorative tasting menus, The Newport Restaurant is my go to spot for date night and celebrations. MasterChef winner, Jamie Scott, and his team consistently provide a wonderful culinary experience and incredible flavours through their Scottish, locally sourced produce and an impressive no-waste ethos. Scottish food at its best.
The Cannon
Another favourite of mine is a beautiful brunch spot, The Cannon, situated in Dundee’s city centre. Serving up generous plates of truly scrumptious food, they have a great variety of classic breakfast options. From pancake stacks and French toast, to bagels and eggs benedict, the food and service in this local favourite never disappoints.
Dune
Brought to you by Dean Banks and his team, Dune is, in my opinion, St Andrews’ best cocktail bar. This classy little loft bar boasts unique cocktail ideas while offering a pairing of the most delicious small plates and foodie delights. They even have a decadent brunch menu on weekends, pairing your brunch dish with a fabulous cocktail or glass of champagne.
